The Town of Indian Trail was created in the 17th century as a stop on a trading route from Petersburg, Virginia to the Waxhaw Indian Settlement. Settlers were later drawn to the area because of it's geographic location. Today, people still come to Indian Trail with the dream of building a better life. Our town offers all the conveniences of a big city, but it is still quiet enough to sit back and relax.
In 2007, we will relive the town's rich history. We invite you to join us as we celebrate the town's 100th anniversary. Events begin March 3rd and will run throughout the year.
The Centennial Committee was created in 2005 with the mission of preserving the past and honoring our anniversary with celebratory events. Our members represent a combination of lifetime residents and newcomers. The committee is solely funded by contributions from businesses, civic organizations and local families.
In order to be successful, we need your support. There are many ways in which your tax-deductible donation can support our upcoming activities.
The Centennial Committee has worked hard at making 2007 a year to remember. But we need your help to make everything come to life!
This is a once in a lifetime event to which succeeding generations will look back for inspiration and with pride. Let's make this the greatest celebration in Indian Trail's history. Call today to pledge your support and sponsorship.
Yours truly,
Nelson Lemmond
