A Message From Our Mayor

The centennial birthday for Indian Trail is fast approaching. This landmark in time should make each citizen of our great town proud, whether you've lived here all your life or have just moved here. Indian Trail is steeped in history; long-standing family traditions, and optimistically holds a passion for a future that is bright and fruitful.

As we prepare for a year long celebration, I encourage all citizens to become involved. Wherever your talents may lie, please consider joining us in honoring our town's 100th birthday.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to research the history of Indian Trail, its residents, businesses and churches; to educate the public, especially our children, about the research findings; to compile the research into a centennial publication; and to celebrate Indian Trail's 100th anniversary through a year long schedule of celebratory events.

A Message From Your Centennial Committee

In September 2005 Mayor Sandy Moore asked a group of residents to come together to help plan the Town's Centennial Celebration. Her desires were that we plan a year long list of events, we celebrate the history of Indian Trail, and that we become self-funded. We have formed a committee and have been hard at work making this a grand celebration for all of our residents. The historical committee is obtaining facts and pictures for a historical book depicting life in Indian Trail in the early 1900's. The events committee is planning the events for this year long celebration. We promise there will be something for everyone, young and old. The sponsorship committee is gearing up and will soon be accepting sponsors at various levels of participation.

This Centennial Celebration will be a success if we get help from our local businesses, civic organizations, neighborhood associations, and individual residents. We ask that you join us, get involved and make a difference, as we come together to honor our past, celebrate our present and imagine our future.

Check back with us often as this website will be updated regularly to incorporate our plans as they are finalized. But in the meantime, consider making a difference and joining our committee. We meet on the second Thursday of each month and every resident is invited to join us.
