Indian Trail, N.C. will celebrate it's centennial on March 10th, 2007. The town is located ten miles southeast of Charlotte in Union County and is the center of one of the fastest growing areas of the nation.

The History of Indian Trail was compiled by the Indian Trail Centennial Committee as a labor of love for their community. The 200 page hard cover book covers the transformation of the area from subsistence farming, small town to a thriving suburb of Charlotte.

The book has 40 interviews with individuals who experienced the transformation of the town, the 1850 census, identity of the individuals buried in local cemeteries, photographs of the old homes, a detailed history of key historical individuals, a listing of the individuals living in the town in 1956, and numerous photographs.
